What the price on a hotel is

The price on a hotel is the supplier's net rate, in the currency the supplier returns it in. Unlike flights, no agency price is calculated for you and there is no markup engine: what you charge your client is entirely yours, arranged outside the platform.

Read the tax line before you quote. Some rates exclude local taxes and city fees, and where they do, the offer states what the guest pays at the property on arrival. Non-refundable rates are labelled as such on the rate itself.

Hotel bookings do not draw on the credit line your ticketing runs on, and they do not appear on your credit statement — the two are separate. How hotel settlement works for your agency is agreed with us directly.

Booking, and what comes back

You book several rooms in one booking, each with its own guest list. Before it goes through, the supplier's own rate terms are shown and have to be accepted. Rates the supplier flags for re-validation are re-checked against live inventory first, and if the price has moved the booking stops and comes back to you for approval — the booking call itself is sent with zero price tolerance, so it cannot be confirmed above the figure you accepted. A repeated submission returns the original booking rather than creating a second one.

What comes back is a booking page in the portal: the supplier reference, the guests by room, the stay, the board, the net amount, and the cancellation policy with its free-cancellation deadline and penalty. There is no hotel voucher or PDF yet — the booking page is the record, and the hotel's own confirmation number appears on it once the supplier provides it.

Changing, cancelling, and where bookings show up

You cancel or amend a hotel booking yourself, from that page, without raising anything with our desk. Both run as a simulation first: the platform asks the supplier what the change would cost and shows you the penalty and the expected refund before anything is committed, then re-runs that check immediately before a cancellation goes through. Deadlines are read in Aden time.

The limits are worth knowing in advance. Cancellation is whole-booking — a single room cannot be dropped from a multi-room stay. An amendment can change guest names, the check-in and check-out dates, and a remark to the hotel; it cannot change the room, the board, the occupancy or the rate, so a different room means a new booking.

Hotel bookings sit in your booking queue and your reports alongside flights, cancelled ones included, and your dashboard counts check-ins due in the next seven days and free-cancellation deadlines falling inside twenty-four hours.
